The Code of Ethics sets guidelines for ethical behavior by Town Officials including the Mayor and Town Council, the Town Manager, Attorney, Auditor, Municipal Judge, certain Boards and Commissions, former Town Officials and vendors.
On Oct. 22, 2019 the Town Council appointed seven citizens to serve on the Town's Ethics Committee. The Ethics Committee was charged with reviewing and proposing any recommendations for amending the Code of Ethics and Conduct for Elected and Appointed Officials that the Committee deems desirable to (i) insure compliance of the Code of Ethics with the Town Charter, (ii) resolve any conflicts between the Code of Ethics and State Law, (iii) address any legal, administrative and ethical issues, and (iv) improve the effective application of the Code of Ethics.
