Sealed competitive bids or proposals as set forth and required in the plans and specifications (either of which shall hereinafter be referred to as the “Bid”) addressed to the Mayor and Town Council of the Town of Sunnyvale, Texas will be received at the office of the Sunnyvale Town Engineer at Town Hall, 127 N. Collins, Texas 75182 until 3:00 p.m. May 27th, 2021, for the following: Clay Road Pavement Rehab, Long Creek to SH 352.
As set forth in the plans and specifications. the project consists of removal and replacement of approximately 3,200 square yards of 8-inch concrete pavement and installation of approximately 1,000 linear feet of 4” French drain to connect to existing storm sewer, along with other minor work and all incidentals.
Instruction to Bidders: proposal forms and specifications (the “Bid Documents”) may be secured for free via download on the Town’s website (http://www.townofsunnyvale.org/bids.aspx). Hard copies of the bid documents will not be made available. Any project addendums will also be posted on this website as soon as they are available. Bidders bear full responsibility for these addendums when preparing their bid.
If bid is for $50,000 or more, Bidder must submit, with their Bid, a Cashier’s check, Certified check or a Bid Bond from an approved surety company, in the amount of five percent (5%) of their Bid as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a contract and guarantee forms, if required, within 10 days after notice of award of contract.
The successful bidder must furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price, from an approved Surety company holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as surety, and acceptable according to the latest list of companies holding Certificates of Authority from the Secretary of the Treasury of the United States, or another Surety acceptable to the Town.
